How to Tap Your NFC Business Card or Scan the QR Code
Your Kinect Card can be shared in two ways:
- Tapping the NFC card
- Scanning the QR code
Both methods open your digital business card profile, where contacts can save your details instantly.
How to Tap Your NFC Business Card
📱 Apple (iPhone)
- Make sure the phone screen is on
(the phone can remain locked). - Hold the NFC business card against the top rear of the phone, near the camera.
- A notification will appear on the screen.
- Tap the notification to open your Kinect Card profile.
- Select Save Contact to store the details on the device.
📱 Android
- Ensure NFC is switched on in the phone settings.
- Hold the NFC business card against the centre of the back of the phone.
- A prompt will appear on the screen.
- Tap the prompt to open your Kinect Card profile.
- Select Save Contact to store the details.
How to Scan the QR Code
Works on both Apple and Android devices.
- Open the Camera app on the phone.
- Point the camera at the QR code.
- A link will appear on the screen.
- Tap the link to open your Kinect Card profile.
What Happens Next?
Once your profile opens, the recipient can:
- Save your contact details
- Access your links and social profiles
- Submit a lead form (if enabled)
💡 Best Practices for
Sharing Your Kinect Card
✔ Ensure a strong internet connection
A stable mobile or Wi-Fi connection helps the profile load instantly.
✔ Tap the NFC area on metal cards
For metal Kinect Cards, tap the NFC section of the card (not the engraved area) against the phone for best results.
✔ Keep the phone steady for 1–2 seconds
Hold the card in place briefly to allow the NFC connection to register.
✔ Use the QR code if needed
If tapping doesn’t work straight away, scanning the QR code is a fast and reliable alternative.
✔ Ideal for busy events
When multiple people want your details at the same time, ask them to scan the QR code so everyone can access your profile simultaneously.
✔ Screen must be on
The phone screen should be on when tapping (it can remain locked on iPhones).
