When your Kinect NFC Business Card is held within a few centimetres of an NFC-enabled phone, the chip sends a signal that opens your Kinect Card profile directly in the phone's browser. The recipient sees your name, contact details, social links, and a save-to-contacts button β all in one tap. No app required, no typing, no lost paper cards. Your card never stores personal data directly; it holds a secure link to your profile, which you can update anytime from your Kinect Enterprise dashboard.
Do NFC business cards work on iPhones?
Yes β all iPhones from the iPhone 7 onwards support NFC.
On iPhone 11 and newer, NFC is always-on in the background, so the recipient just needs to hold the card near the top of their phone and your profile opens automatically. For older iPhone models (7β10), NFC is still supported and works seamlessly. Every Kinect Card also includes a QR code on the reverse as a backup β so even if someone has an older phone or has NFC switched off, they can still access your profile instantly by scanning the code.
Do I need an app to use an NFC business card?
No app is neededβ not for you, and not for the person you're sharing with. When someone taps your Kinect Card, your profile opens directly in their phone's native browser.
